A Level Results 2023

Today we are excited to celebrate the remarkable achievements of another year of A-Level students. Since joining The Loxford School Trust, Cecil Jones Academy is delighted to see, once again, another large cohort of students opting to continue their studies at university or take on a prestigious and sought-after apprenticeship.

It has been a privilege to be witness the students' hard work and dedication to their studies during their time at Cecil Jones Academy.  Teachers, parents and carers have been blown away by their resilience and determination to succeed, especially as they are the first students to sit a full complement of formal exams after the Covid-19 pandemic. We wish them well for the future.

Students commented with shock and awe at some of their examination results, one student exclaiming, “I am just speechless, my hard work paid off and I can’t believe I get to go to my first-choice university.”

Another student said, “I am just so pleased I got all the help and support I needed to be able to go on and continue my studies at University.”

A further student simply said “I am buzzing and cannot thank the staff here enough for everything they have given me.”

Jacob  – A* A* A*  Theoretical Physics at Imperial College, London

James  – A  B  C  Medicine at University of East Anglia

Yaseen – A* A   B  Computer Science and Mathematics at Queen Mary University, London

Alice - B   B   B  English Literature and Creative Writing at York St John University

Melody – A* B   B  Midwifery, University of Southampton

Many more students are heading all over the United Kingdom to study a wide variety of subjects including Psychology, Geology, Software Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Law, Criminology, illustration and many more at very accomplished universities. Some students also beat off thousands of applicants from all over the country to begin very competitive apprenticeships with law firms and insurance companies based in Central London.

All the staff at Cecil Jones Academy are so proud of all the students and the diverse range of careers and avenues they are off to explore.
