BackGoldsmiths Art Summer School 2023
The Art Summer School offers students a fun and supportive space to develop creative talents, discover new passions, collaborate with other young people and get a sense if art school is the place for you. As a student on this programme, you will participate in a range of exciting activities and experiences, such as: Explore and learn with other young people; Access amazing workshop facilities with support from artists who are specialists in different art forms including photography, textiles, drawing and woodwork; Have access to a shared studio space that gives you the freedom to experiment with different art forms; Meet established artists who will share their experience with you; Visit exhibitions at London galleries as well as artists’ studios; 1:1 Mentoring and guidance from Goldsmiths Art Tutors to help realise the creative projects that matter to you; Create new art works that express themes that matter to you in your chosen medium - which can support your future portfolio and help you in applying to future HE courses, as well as go into a final exhibition held at Goldsmiths to celebrate your achievements. Art Summer School participants who apply to Goldsmiths and who meet the minimum entry requirements will also receive a guaranteed interview for BA Fine Art and BA Fine Art & History of Art programmes. Goldsmiths Art Summer School is a non-residential 10 day programme, taking place on Goldsmiths University of London Campus, which is located on New Cross Road, London SE14 6NW. The programme will start on the 20th July 2023 and will run every day up to and including the 2nd August 2023 (excluding weekends). Each day will start at 10:30am and finish at 5pm. To be eligible you must also be: · Currently attending a state-funded sixth form or college in the UK · Between 16 and 18 years old · Studying a creative subject (this could be an A-Level, BTEC or equivalent course in subjects such as: Art, Textiles, Product Design, Design Technology) · Living within commutable distance to Goldsmiths (or be able to make your own accommodation arrangements).
