Gang Awareness workshop

All Year 9 students took part in a Gang Awareness workshop with the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service. The programme aimed to raise awareness of grooming techniques used by gangs, the realities of life in a gang, county lines and criminal exploitation. The students were eager to discuss scenarios, answer questions and many of them asked lots of questions too.
The upcoming workshops will be for Year 10 with the focus on knife crime prevention. The students will be given key information around the risks and consequences of carrying / using knives.
