On Saturday 11th June,

Cecil Jones' very own Year 11 LF, was selected to represent the Borough of Southend at The Essex Schools Athletics Championships in the Shot Put discipline.

In a strong field of 18 boys he qualified in the top 8 of the field for the finals and went on to finish 6th in Essex throwing a personal best and new school record of 11.78m
