Christmas Hamper Competition
BackChristmas Hamper Competition
This Christmas saw the third year running that Cecil Jones Academy has proudly run its Christmas Hamper competition.
Each tutor group was given a box and students were asked to decorate the box as part of an inter-school competition.
This year the boxes were judged in two separate categories;
- Best decorated
- Great Team Work
The winners of the Team Work group are those that had additions from many of the students in the tutor group.
As well as the competitive decorating aspect, we also asked the students to donate food, toiletries and toys to fill the hampers, if they were able.
Despite the hardships that are facing us all this, the students’ response has been amazing, with many of the hampers overflowing with donations.
These donations will be delivered to the Southend Foodbank this week to help families that might be struggling to celebrate the holidays this year.
Our students are always proud, knowing that they are helping others, especially at a time of year when kindness and giving are so important.
Well done to all.
