Visit to the Royal Opera House to see Tosca—Cultural Capital at its finest!

Cecil Jones Academy goes to the Opera! The Creative and Performing Arts team leaped at the opportunity to take our students to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to see their performance of Tosca-- a tragic love story set during the Napoleonic Wars in Rome. For many of our students, this was their first time at the historic Royal Opera House, surrounded by grandiose decor, lavish set design, and the beautifully-conducted orchestra pit. It really was a feast for the eyes and ears. Our students were impeccable, carefully splitting their attention between the subtitles (the performance was in Italian!) and stage. Each student left with their own copy of the souvenir programme and a smile on their face.
